Only works with Powerpoint - Avoid this if you're using Acrobat
This product seems nice, but funny that they NEVER mention that this product ONLY works with the POWERPOINT for the presentation control buttons on the bottom.
I use LaTeX and Beamer to create my presentation, and I use Acrobat for the presentation. Other presenters, like Logitech one, works fine with the Acrobat. But not this one. I figured out that general presenters like Logitech's send out "PAGEDOWN" or "PAGEUP" when the button on the presenter is pressed. This one seems to send out some instructions which is native to Powerpoint only. Worse thing is that the buttons on the bottom are NOT CUSTOMIZABLE. You CANNOT reassign these buttons for other purpose. Bottom line is that this one cannot be used other software than Powerpoint.
If you only use Microsoft Powerpoint for your presentation, this is your choice. If you use something else like Acrobat, avoid this one since you'll be paying good $80 for nothing but a wireless mouse.
The product description should include the comment saying that "THIS PRODUCT ONLY WORKS WITH MICROSOFT POWERPOINT."

Pros outweigh the cons
Pros: - Top quality - Long battery life - comes with MS bluetooth dongle but works with widdcom too - Usable size/weight even though small and compact - Laser tracking is absolutely awesome - Presentation features make it a must for business users
Cons: - Wheel has right and left clicks but they are not programmable so you're stuck with horizontal scrolling. - Right and left side-buttons are not comfortable to use on such a small size. - The wheel feels like it misses out on something because of its smooth-rolling (no clicks as you turn it). You'll need those clicks at times, believe me.
Summary: I couldn't find a better tracking bluetooth mouse. And I don't want a wireless dongle unnecessarily when I have bluetooth built into my laptop. Forget optical mice, they suck.

Great Mouse but a bit overpriced
This mouse is amazing once getting used to. There are many features that you can customize your mouse to do. Such as: digital ink and a magnifier. However, the gettign used to part is the clicking and scrolling on the mouse. It's not like most logitec mice i've used. this one has a soft click and very sensitive scrolling. Even though you can adjest the settings, it's still is quite sensistive causing your document to skip multiple pages or dramatically zooming in or out when holding down teh cntrl key and scrolling. But besides that, the presentation features have been very useful to me. Especially the digital ink. Also, since the mouse comes with a bluetooth adapter, you can also sync in pictures from your phone and stuff.

An Okay Product with Some Annoying Flaws
All right, so this is just an okay mouse overall. It has some neat features, but it also has some major annoyances. Honestly, I would probably return the product now if I still could. The problems are as follows:
* The mouse is somewhat small and un-ergonomic, and it causes my hand to fatigue more quickly than any other mouse I've ever used.
* The left-click button squeaks obtrusively when pressed. The first one I purchased squeaked, so I returned it for a second--which still squeaks.
* The scroll wheel is oddly hyper-sensitive, more so than other mice I've used. You hardly move it, and it suddenly jumps pages up or down much more quickly that you'd expect.
* The presenter buttons on the bottom are presented somewhat like an afterthought. They are there, and they work, but it feels strange to use them. For instance, you end up kind of clicking the traditional mouse buttons at the same time, and the whole experience is, well, weird.
* Battery life seems to be a little low.
* When you pick up the mouse just barely to move it around to gain more room, the laser still picks up the surface below and moves the arrow on the screen--even when you don't want it to. This is my first laser mouse, as opposed to an optical one, so perhaps this is more a flaw of laser mice in general. Regardless, it's quite annoying.
* Last but not least, given all these issues, the mouse is far too expensive for its own good.
Summary: I've owned and used many Microsoft mice and have generally been satisfied with them. With this one, I feel like I spent a lot of money for something that just gets on my nerves all the time. Love the Bluetooth setup without the included USB receiver, though!

Customer Review :
Works with Mac OS X too.
I bought this mouse to replace my decrepit Bluetooth Intellimouse Explorer. I was betting on the fact that this one would also work with my iMac, since it didn't mention it anywhere on the box. Needless to say it took a little fudging, but I discovered this method works well if you want to get it working on your Mac:
1. Turn on the mouse 2. Press or hold down connect button until light flashes alternating red and green 3. Click Bluetooth tray icon; Browse Device... 4. If the device "Mouse" is not in the list click search, then click browse. 5. Next to search button it will say "Device does not have the necessary services." 6. Click Cancel; Quit Bluetooth File Exchange 7. Open System Preferences; Bluetooth; Devices section 8. Settings section; Click the device ID in the list of your mouse, Add to Favorites
Using this method, you can hook up the mouse with your Mac's built-in Bluetooth rather than using the included dongle.
Overall, this mouse looks and feels great. I was pleasantly surprised to find that side-scrolling also works, and you can always assign the extra mouse buttons to Expose in your system preferences.

Good for CAD, but beware
I bought this mouse after frustration with other wireless units that continually have battery and connection problems. The Bluetooth connectivity is very stable and the tracking is very good. I use this with advanced CAD and 3D engineering applications, so accuracy and response is critical. However, once I installed the mouse and the software (Intellipoint 6.1), I noticed that AutoCAD(2007) would constantly flicker and regen while using the mouse. I assumed it was an RF (Bluetooth) or a video problem, so I tried a hard-wired mouse to see if the problem would stop. Still problems...so, then I completely removed the Bluetooth dongle and turned the mouse off, operating completely on the wired mouse. Still flickering! Then, I uninstalled Intellipoint....problems GONE! Interestingly, the Bluetooth mouse works great without the software, except for the customized features that I don't use anyway. So, if all you want is a really good tracking laser mouse with excellent RF performance, this unit will provide great service. But if you really want to use the features that Intellipoint provides and you use AutoCAD or other high-res vector-based software, I suspect you will have similar problems.

BEWARE!!
I don't want to sound negative; this is no way a slam on Amazon. I purchased this mouse and loaded it onto my system, Microsoft immediately Popped up stating I needed an update for the bluetooth receiver. Ever since the update My computer freezes up when it goes into screensaver mode. Long story short, Make sure your operating system is not Windows XP media center when you purchase this mouse, there is NOT a fix yet for the bluetooth receiver! 1 star is for the crappy responce from Microsoft.

Great Mouse
This is a great mouse. Easy to install and connect. Responsive and great battery life. The only complaint that I have is you are limited to a fixed range of reassignents for the buttons. I have not been able to get the mouse to accept button reassignments for games.

A Good Wireless Mouse
I have used this mouse for a couple of months on a Dell laptop. The mouse is attractive and comfortable. The recharging station is unobtrusive on the desk and a very convenient place to park the mouse. I recharge it every few days and I've never run it down. The wheel is especially nice for scrolling because it doesn't have detents like some mice.
I have two relatively minor complaints:
1. I was not able to get the mouse to work with the laptop's internal Bluetooth, so I have to use the little USB adapter which comes with the mouse.
2. The wheel button, which on other mice I use for double-clicking, is much too stiff, and I can't click it without moving the wheel. If this is an important feature for you, then this is not your mouse.
Overall, however, I am happy with the product.

The Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer features all of the necessities that other competitive presenters offer. This presenter has the ability to page up, page down, esc slide show, darken screen and resume screen. It also has a laser pointer button and an on/off switch. It also includes an alt tab application switch. The long-range 2.4GHz wireless technology has up to a 30 ft. range, which is ideal for a large conference room. The preset RF connection enables true plug-and-play capability; no driver is required. Stop tripping over wires and asking colleges to change the slides- this presenter is ideal for any PowerPoint presentation.

This is a great entry product. However, before purchasing, you might want to consider a more full featured product. Mouse like features and a countdown vibrating timer is what I have as additional features in a MS product.

Linux compatible
I'm sure it works like a charm under Windows. I only use Linux, and it worked right out of the package. It advertises itself as a USB keyboard. If your kernel supports that, you're all set. Just plug it in, and click away!
Very comfortably sized. Fits perfectly in the hand (at least in mine :) The carrying bag could use a better clasp, but that's not terribly important, really.

Great little device
I purchased this little clicker for classroom presentations. It frees me from the computer and gives me the ability to "roam" the classroom while using PowerPoint presentations. The actual range of the device seems to be further than advertised. Range appears to be determined by the position that you hold the clicker.

Rating :
Pretty decent camera
Below is my review of the camera but I just want to "up" the rating to four stars. I've got more bugs worked out of the camera and it does work pretty well. Below was written before the bugs were cleared up.
Received the webcam but the wire was loose and wouldn't record the voice with a video some of the time. The quality of the voice was lower in pitch and lagging behind a one minute (saved to my hard drive) video by about one second. I didn't know if the camera was the cause of the audio delay, considering the fact that the wire was loose. Received a replacement (great Amazon service) and the audio is still delayed behind the video and the pitch of the voice is still too low, when I save the video to file! (I haven't tested the camera with Live Messenger yet.) But I did try to hook up a small, independent microphone and use that as the primary audio and the saved videos are really good. The voice is now in sync with the video and the voice is at the correct pitch.
I have a Dell E 1705 and don't know if the computer is the cause of the continued NX 6000 audio problems or if the camera needs a driver fix. The picture in 640/480 resolution is really nice but anything over that and you see a noticeable decline in quality. When using the highest resolution setting, the frame rate is slowed way down so I won't even bother to use anything over 640/480 for my videos. The still picture capture quality is not as good as if you used your regular digital camera so I will only use that once-in-a-while.
I gave the camera 3 stars because of the audio problems, because I had to return the first camera, and because even though the camera boasts high resolution, that doesn't measure up. But again, the video quality in 640/480 pixels is really nice---although my skin color is shaded a little too blue or purple and I can't adjust that. But from what I've read about most other webcams out there, their video quality isn't as good as this camera.
I will now talk to a Dell representative to see if there is a fix for the audio problems through Dell. If there isn't, I'll still keep the camera because the small, plug in microphone works just fine. Wish there was better support for this camera through Microsoft!

Excellent buy
This is an amazing webcam... I love it. It has excellent quality of image. No manual adjustments for focusing. The software controls for zoom, tilt, and pan are cool. It is giving excellent quaility in low light also.
Make me look good (in the cam ;)) to my freinds and family.
The driver software got along with the cam did not work on Vista, but then it was not difficult to get it online.
I would defnitly recommend this. It is also good if you are using Business confrencing.
It fits on the laptop like a part of it. The clip at the back is adjustable (expands) about 1/2 an inch, but if your minitor is really thin, it may not fit tight. But my guess is that it should be good for 99% of the laptops out there.
I would not recommend this for Desktops unless you want to fix (glue) them on top of your monitor.
Rating :
decent image, not for thinkpad
This camera offers a decent image and a lot of interesting functions. But if you only need video conference online, probably this camera is way too "good". $40 one can also offer you same quality. Extra features won't help in online video conference. Another thing is it's not friendly to thinkpad. The hook on the back is a little bit too small. T60 is barely OK, T43 and below model users, forget it.
Rating :
Compact, Quality Cam
Very pleased with this webcam. Very compact, and even gets smaller due to retractable lens, great utility for travel. Worked right from the first time with my laptop. People I video with say the resolution is noticeably better than my old one. Swivel adjustment is handy too. Also comes with nice Microsoft Live Cam software for zooming and other adjustments.
One caveat: Its approx. 1/4" built-in mounting clip doesn't grip onto the top of my laptop due to the thickness of the monitor portion of my particular laptop model. The ad photos for the cam made it seem otherwise. It is stable however hanging at the top of my monitor, simply laying against a hook on my monitor. If this had fit perfectly I would have rated it 5 out of 5 stars instead of 4.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
What ever you do, do not waste your money on this machine. I have gone through 2 in four months. It may seem great but after the first month the processer slows down, it starts freezing at least three to four times a week. The pen is easy to loose and a replacement cost nearly $50. The keys fall out easily and the wireless adapter in it rarly works. If you buy this computer, which you shouldn't, I would buy the three year warenty because this computer will start to have problems. Tosiba will give you a new machine if you buy the warenty. Second, buy another battery. The battery life says up to 5 hours, but in reality it last only 1:45-3:00 based on your power settings. Lastly buy an external hard drive to go with this computer. The 100 GB gets used up quickly with all the free "nessessities", which is another way of saying useless junk.
If you are smart you will purchase a Macintosh Laptop. The new Mac Book Pro runs litterally twice as fast as this box of viruses. It comes standard with twice the memory a better warenty, no virus garrentied and it will NOT freeze.
Be smart pay half the price of this computer and get a mac book (roughly $1,300) or a mac book pro (roughly 1,800). Plus they come with programs standard on them that pcs would only dream of like build in cameras for online chatting or making videos. Iphoto, itunes, idvd, imovie and ichat all come standard on ALL mac computers.

This is an excellent Tablet PC. It is fairly light 4 pounds 6 ounces and has all that you need in one little device. The screen is excellent quality and the battery management is great.
It provides all the security features that you would need with TPM and fingerprint support. I would strongly recommend this machine if you can afford it.

Awesome Computer!
Many of my law school classmates are having problems with their laptops and/or wireless connectivity in our classrooms. Not so with this top-of-the-line computer. This computer signifies a new age of computers. It is a one-of-a-kind. Even among the technologically savvy, this computer is something to envy if you don't have one yet. While I have been offered a replacement battery because of the problems with batteries that have affected many computer brands, I have not personally experienced any problems with my battery, which I put through the test just yesterday going four hours on battery at the library...sometimes in lower power settings. I love the pen & its different settings. In fact, I just had a local celebrity autograph my computer using the pen two days ago...he was very impressed and said "this is a first!" Getting used to the smaller screen did take some getting used to, but since I take this computer with me everywhere I go, the lighter weight is well worth it!

Short time user.
Seems like a good machine so far, but a little pricey. Light, fast, bright screen. Tablet is very convenient for many things. There is some difficulty with passwords in tablet mode, but that is probably just me. But just cruising eBay, wow! its cool and fast. My wife complains about the keyboard and has difficulty typing on it vs our Dell laptop. The only real problem is that while both laptops are configured the same, the Toshiba periodically, like once a day, loses wireless connectivity and has to be rebooted to regain it. This never happens with the Dell. I suppose I need to get help with this, possibly update some driver or the wireless router. Overall, we're happy so far.

Great Tablet for the price
I so much wanted the Lenovo Tablet but after comparing this Toshiba to the Lenovo, this baby won hands down, not only for the price but for the features it included. PLUS amazon is such a great place because it offered me a coupon for a VISTA upgrade which I lucked out from the manufacturer. This tablet is soooo quiet and the parts are not that easy to break. I guess if you are careless with your stuff, it can break easy. I just wish they sell SATA drives so that I can purchase the adaptor for it and have two HDD in this baby. I bought the 2nd optional battery (slice) from toshiba for $149 since they sent me a coupon after I registered the tablet at their site. I love everything about it, but as soon as Apple creates their tablet, this baby has to go =). Enjoy your Toshiba tablet, it is really worth it and Amazon is still the low price leader!

Question : I received a Wireless notebook adapter with a router and was wondering how to use it.
Is it something i use with my Laptop I have a wireless Dell Inspiron 6000 and was just wondering if its something that I use with this laptop or if its something that is used with laptops that aren't wireless. the network card is a Linskys Dual Band Wireless A & G Notebook adapter 5 GHz 802.11a 2.4 GHz 54 g. thanks for your responses
Answer:
If your laptop is already wireless compatible (meaning it has it built-in), then you don't need the notebook adapter that came with the router. You can sell it on ebay or keep it around for friends who have older laptops. If you do not have wireless built-in, then you will need to install the notebook adapter so that you will have access wirelessly to your router.

Question : is it possible to use a wireless notebook adapter in a pc
the wireless adapter is a linksys wireless-b notebook adapter. and if anyone cares the model no.:WPC11 ver. 4 thanks
Answer:
ok, if it's a USB adapter then yes it will work in a PC (since a pc has USB ports). If it's a PCMCIA adapter then no it won't work in a PC (since a PC doesn't have a PCMCIA slot) unless you get a PCI to PCMCIA adapter (which you can buy) and install it into your PC. But I don't understand why you would do that since you could just buy a PCI wireless card in put in the PC.
